VIDEO IN 3-D
For high-quality 3-D video you need
two perfectly genlocked cameras. The genlocking (synchronizing)
must be done directly between the cameras, not through a switcher (memory
buffer). This means that all professional analog cameras will work,
while digital cameras may need to be modified with some risk involved.
We have different suppliers for 3-D videography, with all kinds of cameras
from consumer level to Ikegami - please FAX your project description to
818-841-9362.
3-D MOTION PICTURES For motion picture productions we recommend StereoVision’s "True 3D®" lenses (single-strip 35mm). Used by Jim Cameron ("Titanic") to shoot the Steadycam® scenes for Universal’s theme park production "Terminator II 3-D", "True 3-D®" is the most versatile stereoscopic film system. It’s a lot more practical than the huge twin camera rigs used by companies like Imax® or Disney®. For details please FAX project information & filmography to 818-841-9362, and we’ll forward them to our friends at StereoVision. We can supply pre-production assistance and post-production accessories. |
